Objective
  • Establishment and operation of several decentralized extracurricular learning locations, initially at various locations in Görlitz
  • In the future, consolidation into one large location
  • Participatory design of the extracurricular learning locations with schools, companies and research institutions
  • Development of extracurricular educational programs in the STEM subjects (biology, computer science, mathematics and physics from grade 5)

Experimental site 1

Objective

  • Testing new teaching and learning concepts and promoting science and engineering education by developing innovative extracurricular educational programs on various topics from biodiversity to robotics
  • Educational offers are designed as block events in order to be able to use the required technology at various extracurricular learning locations
  • Involvement of regional stakeholders planned - initial discussions have already taken place with the Senckenberg Society, for example

  • Start of cooperation with the DZA and CASUS to establish an extracurricular learning center in Görlitz
  • Design of extracurricular educational programs planned for the subjects of biology, computer science and mathematics from grade 5 onwards
  • Integration of the perspective of the HSZG humanities planned, e.g. AAL laboratory - Ambient Assisted Living laboratory Görlitz, age-appropriate living with new technologies
